Destination Marketing: South Korea Waives Visa Fees for Medical Tourists Seeking Fertility Treatment
【Abstract】: (Tourism Policy) To combat its own demographic crisis and boost medical tourism, South Korea’s Ministry of Justice announced a "Visa Fee Waiver" for international patients entering for fertility treatments, effective March 1, 2026. The policy also includes a "Green Channel" at Incheon Airport for patients with medical invitations.
Business Insight: South Korea is aggressively positioning itself against Thailand and Japan. With its high success rates in "Refractory Infertility" (difficult cases), this policy lowers the barrier to entry. Chinese agencies should consider repackaging Korean IVF tours, highlighting the new "hassle-free" entry process.
